Well apparently not where I live.. Sorry if my neon colored background hurts your eyes! I just needed a little spring in my life! It's my favorite time of year and days like these make me feel like it is never going to be here! When we went to bed last night there was zero moisture on the ground and when I opened my door about a 7:45 this morning, I was welcomed with about 7 to 8 inches everywhere and more on its way. I fought back the tears as I went back inside to change into my boots. I thought I would be the loving, independent wife and not bother my husband since it's a rare thing that he didn't have to be out the door before me. I walked down the hill to my car and began scraping. I was about half way done when I realized I was gonna need a little bit of help and text my husband to see if he would drive me to school. I couldn't feel my fingers! He was out in a hurry and very shocked by the sight. He told me to get in the car while he finished scraping the car. We were just driving off when CRAP where is my ring?? I had looked down and saw only my band. My fingers hurt so bad they were so cold, so with that and the fact they shrink when cold I didn't feel it slide right off. I burst into tears and my loving husband quickly started saying the perfect things to try and make me feel better. He got out and started going through all the snow that was by my car. We both looked for a bit and he thought it would be best to take me to school and he would continue looking. As if I needed one more reason to hate the snow! So now I am at work while the wonderful man I get to call my husband is on a mission to find my wedding ring. He just informed me he is on his way to buy a metal detector. Must have not had a lot of luck.. I'll let you know when we find it!
I did realize it's been 2 months since my last post. Where does the time go? I will be posting a more upbeat and fun blog shortly to recap the last month.

Charlie Brown
I might be one of those crazy dog ladies, but anyone who has a dog (especially getting one before having kids) will get this post..
Charlie with his sisters (he's the all white looking one)
Right after we picked him up
I found them like this when I was cooking (my favorite part is Kris's hand on the remote while sleeping)
He loves his Dad!
And posing for the camera..
HoHoHo
Santa's Little Helper
Like I said, loves to pose
Loves to shop at Petco
Our little Charlie is the love of our lives! We got him just a couple of weeks after we were married. We had decided that we would wait a couple of years to get a dog, but one thing lead to another.. and he has been such a little joy!! He truly is our little baby boy! This isn't meant to be a bragfest but I seriously think he is such a good dog! We really lucked out cause he potty trained so well, has never chewed a single belonging of ours, and always gives us lots of loves! It's nice when I have to come home before Kristopher gets home from work, to have somebody so excited to see me. So I thought I would post some pictures of our little bundle of JOY!
Right after we picked him up
Loves to shop at PetcoSo yes, I'm slightly obsessed with my dog! But he has been such a fun little companion and we LOVE him!

The Holidays
I can't believe January is almost over. I feel like I'm finally recovered from our trip to Florida we took after Christmas. We had a wonderful 1st Christmas together. We were with the Brown side this Christmas in Utah, and had a lot of fun! I feel really blessed to have married into such a wonderful family! It makes it so much easier to be away from my parents and siblings. We left for Orlando on the Dec. 29th. My parents recently moved to that area and we had not got to visit them yet. It was so good to see their new house. Both of my sisters and my brother in law came out for the week. We had a lot of fun going to the beach, fishing, Epcot, shopping (while the boys played golf of course) and many other things. It was nice to just be together, since it is a rare thing these days. I started a new job teaching esthetics at Skin Science Institute at the Lindon location. It's so fun to be back doing what I love! I am still working with the Chiropractor in the afternoons. Kris started winter semester of school and is still working full time. I got used to spending more time with him when he was out of school and I was only working part time, so it's a hard adjustment with the long hours of separation. But that's how it goes, right? My good friend Jamie was such a dear to give me some much needed Blogging 101, so hopefully I'll be able to start posting more often!

Welcome
Welcome to our blog! I thought this would be a great way to keep in touch with all our friends and family. Kris and I both have so many close friends and loved ones, scattered all over, that we want to keep up with. I will briefly (if that's possible) catch everyone up to speed on my very eventful year.
I moved from Texas to Utah last fall to start school at the Skin Science Institute in Salt Lake City. I was enrolled in a full time program studying Master Esthetics. I absolutely loved every minute of it, even if it did consume my whole life at the time. Kristopher and I met in April, two weeks before I was to graduate and move back to Texas. We met through my good friend Cassidy, (who was my saving grace and kept me sane while I was going through school) and happens to be Kristopher's cousin (and now mine!!). I accepted an internship after graduation in Salt Lake that was going to keep me here until July. Kristopher and I talked everyday from the day we met and saw each other as much as possible. We got engaged in Dallas on July 19th, and were married in the Salt Lake City Temple on October 18th. We are currently living in Cedar Hills, UT. I am working for a chiropractor and Kristopher is working at US bank and going to school. I have loved every second of married life with him. He is my best friend and the best husband anyone could ask for!
This time last year I would not have imagined my life being this way. I have been truly blessed! I guess the saying is true.. "when it rains, it pours." And I am definitely enjoying the rain!
